Speech Sound Therapy
Does your child struggle to produce certain sounds? Are they often frustrated when not understood?
If so, your child may benefit from speech sound therapy. POW specializes in the assessment and treatment of speech sound disorders, including: phonological disorders, articulation disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech. Proper diagnosis determines therapy approach, and therapy sessions are individualized to client needs. Sessions focus on targeting sounds or processes in errors to improve speech intelligibility and create more confident communicators.

Language Therapy
Does your child have a limited vocabulary, a difficult time comprehending questions, or struggle with putting sentences together?
From gaining first words to using sentences, Play on Words can support your child’s language development at any age. Sessions often focus on expanding vocabulary, developing phrases and sentences, and understanding and using basic concepts. POW aims to follow your child’s lead and interests and create meaningful interactions.
60-minute initial evaluation & report: $200
30-minute session cost: $65

Reading Support
Does your child have a difficult time learning to read or decode words?
Speech therapists can play a key role in supporting your child’s reading success. At POW, we can currently help support the following pre-literacy and literacy skills: phonological awareness, letter-sound correspondence, and decoding of words. Orton-Gillingham principles are utilized by providing explicit instruction in phonics, phonemic awareness, and decoding to create more confident readers.
60-90 minute initial evaluation & report: $225
30-minute session cost: $65
45-minute session cost (can combine with speech/language therapy): $80

Free consultation
If desired, we can chat via phone call for a free consultation. We can discuss your concerns and decide whether or not a speech therapy evaluation is warranted. You may also skip this step and request intake forms right away!
schedule evaluation
Before we meet, required intake forms will be sent to you. All forms need to be completed prior to scheduling evaluation. Once intake forms are completed, an evaluation will be scheduled. The evaluation will determine if your child qualifies for therapy.
begin therapy
If your child qualifies, a treatment plan will be written with therapy goals and recommended frequency. We will work with you to schedule ongoing therapy sessions, doing our best to accommodate your scheduling needs!
